OUR SILK
Our mulberry silk is from Jiangsu province. From the city Xuzhou, located in eastern China. They have a long history of silk production and are known for their high-quality silk products. The province boasts favorable conditions for sericulture, including abundant mulberry trees, mild climate, and skilled artisans. These unique attributes create an environment for silk production that cannot be compared with anywhere else in the world. The city Xuzhou, in particular, is renowned for its traditional silk craftsmanship and exquisite silk products and long-standing reputation for silk weaving and embroidery dates back centuries.
NON-TOXIC PRODUCTION
The non-toxic production process of mulberry silk involves rearing silkworms in controlled environments where they are fed mulberry leaves. The silk fibers are harvested from the cocoons and then processed using traditional methods that do not involve the use of harmful chemicals or toxins. Mulberry silk is considered an eco-friendly fabric because it is biodegradable and renewable. Our mulberry silk is Oeko-Tex 100 Certified and we always work with the weight of 22 momme to ensure that you get the best results and benefits for your hair, skin and health.
THE HISTORY OF MULBERRY SILK
Legend has it that one day, dating back over 5,000 years ago, the Chinese Empress Xi Ling Shi was sitting under a mulberry tree drinking tea when a cocoon fell into her cup. As she tried to remove the cocoon, she found that the delicate strands began to unravel into a long, continuous thread. Fascinated by this discovery, she began to experiment with the cocoon's fibers and eventually learned how to spin them into silk thread. Overall, mulberry silk is prized for its natural, non-toxic, and eco-friendly qualities.
